Sharab Hospital Ltd’s Endoscopy Unit is the first in The Gambia that provides a range of both diagnostics and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
Endoscopy is a procedure where the inside of a patient’s body is examined internally using an endoscope. An endoscope is a thin, flexible tube that has a light source and a video camera at one end.
The new Endoscopy Unit has launched at Sharab Medical Center. The Installation was monitored and instructed by Medicos en Accion, various diagnostic endoscopy procedures were performed during two weeks stay. The Canadian NGO has been coming to the Gambia for the past few years.
Now our Endoscopy Team has been performing various diagnostic endoscopy procedures successfully.
