Many of us staring down at our smartphones, looking into computers screens most of the time.
A stiff neck commonly is the result of poor posture causing muscles weakening over time.
Looking down at your computer screens all day, looking at your smartphone can cause the muscles around the neck joints to tire and become overstretched.
Stretching helps
Sitting up straight and putting your monitor at eye level, avoiding abnormal posture of your neck.
Proper stretching can relief for a stiff neck.
Here are some stretches you can do at your desk:
- Rolling your shoulders backward and down 10 times.
- Squeezing your shoulder together 10 times.
- For 30 seconds push your head back into your hands and hold for 30 seconds.
- On each side tilt your neck to your shoulder 10 times.
Pay attention to your sleep
you should pay attention to your sleep positions. Preferably sleep on your back or on your side.
If the pain gets in the way of your daily activities, you should see your doctor.
