Dr Dado Jabbie
Before my rotation with Dr Jah at Sharab Medical Center, I always feel that urology was a difficult sub speciality and more for men. However after spending a month of internship under Dr Jah I begin to enjoy urology. I learn a lot under him both in the clinic and in the operating room. What I admire most about Dr Jah is his professionalism and respect for everyone from the patients, the escorts and all his staffs. Sharab medical center is one of the most organized clinic in this country with a very comprehensive record keeping system. I was lucky to participate in free medical camp where patients from all over the country where given free surgery regardless of their condition. I will like to thank Dr Jah and his whole team for the time and patience they all take to put me through.

Dr. Awa Jah
Words are certainly not enough to express my gratitude for how responsive, dynamic, supportive you and your staff have been. I have learnt so much during this 1 month, it has improved my practice and surgical skills.
Thank you for being the brilliant example of the sort of trainer and leadership We are supposed to embody now and in the future.
I have decided that I would keep this message short and nice, as I have only 2 feelings that I would like to convey to sharab medical center at this time, gratitude and appreciation.
Dr. Abdoulie Bah
My name is Dr. Abdoulie Bah, a 3rd year resident in surgery at Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital. The residency program is under the West African College of Surgeons. I had to the opportunity to do part of my 3 months rotation in urology at Sharab medical center, which offers specialist services in urology. Working under the guidance and supervision of associate professor Abubacar Jah who is also the Director of the medical center was a memorable moment that I will always reflect on.
I had the opportunity to be a student of Dr Jah since medical school at the university of the Gambia and I can stay his style of teaching and interest to teach has not changed since I met him up to date. The 3 months I spent in Sharab was a moment that I was always pushed to read before attending sessions knowing that my supervisor will always ask questions and you would not want to meet him unprepared. I had the opportunity to witness, assist and perform procedures in urology that I did not have the opportunity to see in my training centre. The clinic sessions were also always interesting. It availed me the opportunity to also work with technology using the Tryton for medical records. It was a time well spent working with him and staffs of the medical centre. The staffs were always accommodating and ready to share ideas and help out when need arises.
Dr Jah is a great teacher , mentor and a true son of the land with an admirable personality. My wish is for the centre to be fully accredited to train urology residents because it has the dedicated leadership, manpower and variety of patients to train urology specialist.
